By taking the advantages of information and talents of Shanghai, the R&D Center of Wingtech Group has established the “National Torch Plan—Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industrial/Hatching Base”. At present, the R&D Center has owned nearly one thousand national patents, and is increasing 500 every year. The R&D Center owns a team of over one thousand R&D staff, with R&D items covering the whole series of mobile terminal products of  GSM, CDMA, EDGE, TD-SCDMA, EVDO etc. ranging from 2G to 3G. In average, a team of R&D staff has had over five years of experience, able to launch over 10 styles of products every month.

With strong R&D strength and firm technical foundation, the R&D Center has been recognized as Shanghai Software Enterprise, Shanghai Patent Pilot Enterprise, Shanghai Hi-tech Enterprise, “Entity Making Outstanding Contributions to Scientific and Technological Innovation 2008”, etc. Meanwhile, Wingtech has jointed the TD-SCDMA industrial alliance to actively conduct the R&D and application of TD products and make Chinese TD-SCDMA close to industrialization.
